Hey Beauties and WELCOME back!
For those of you that follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Periscope, you know that over the past weekend Melissa and I attended the BYBC2016 Conference here in Salt Lake City. We have been in the fashion world long enough and feel like we have a pretty good sense of style, but in the days leading up to the conference we were struggling with what to wear.
Being as we were going to be with hundreds of peers over the weekend, networking (and dancing) with amazing Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle/Travel/Food bloggers we knew we couldn’t just wear our comfy clothes. We wanted to represent ourselves well!
With that in mind, we were also thinking about the hectic schedule that we would be maintaining- 13-15 hours days and wanted to make sure we wore clothes that would be fashionable but still comfortable. I totally believe that when you feel comfortable in your own skin that your whole experience of learning will be that much better. I don’t know about you guys but I can absolutely think back to a couple of work conferences I have been too where I wore this amazing blazer or a gorgeous pair of heels but didn’t really think that I would be doing makeup and didn’t do the reach/flexibility/standing test….Needless to say that all I could think about was how uncomfortable I was and how I really should have thought out my outfit for the activities I would be doing.
♦Here Are Melissa’s Comfortable Fashion Finds♦
AHH Can we just take moment and talk about how BEAUTIFUL my bestie is?!?!?! OK Great, now lets talk about this amazing outfit. We both decided that we wanted to wear flats, so we chose to dress it up by making sure we had a 3 piece outfit on.
Three piece meaning that we are either wearing a blazer,jacket or vest to dress up the outfit.
Melissa’s used items from Nordstrom, Target and Cents Of Style to put together her outfit.
- her Nordstrom finds were her Black Hunter Boots and
- Black Lush Blouse
- and her amazing faux fur vest
- she paired those with her black pants from Target and
- her Statement Necklace from Cents Of Style
It was perfect for keeping warm and comfortable but the layers gave her options in case a room was too warm.

Comfortable shoes and layers are the key to surviving a conference! I love my Hunters. I found mine on super sale at a Nordstrom Rack many years ago. It’s one of my best purchases to date.
Oh awesome! Yes they are my favorite- I got a pair for my birthday and now I keep my eye out for any awesome sales and snag another pair! Haha
