Happy November Beautiful Bella’s
Today is all about our rainy day favorites from clothing, shoes, hats, hairstyles, makeup products etc. I love a rainy Fall day where I can just relax inside, drink a cup of my favorite Chai Tea and watch movies all day, but lets be honest….when do we really get the chance to do that??? I lived in Seattle for 3 years so I was always out and about for the rainy days and these things were my “Everyday Essentials”
Why spend a ton of time curling your hair when you know its going to rain? Our Favorite Rainy Day Hairstyles consist of Great Hats, Ballerina Buns, Braids and Beach Waves. You can’t go wrong with any of these super cute looks. In the Bottom right picture, my friend and I were attending the Horse Races at Emerald Downs in Seattle and it DOWN POURED!!! Needless to say we were very happy we had chosen the ballerina bun as our hairstyle for the evening!
If you are going to wear your hair down- don’t fight the rain and ensuing mess, embrace it! Beach waves are great for any length of hair and you can pull double duty with a braid to keep your tresses tamed!
While we love a few other texture products for recreating beach waves- when it comes to a rainy day, you don’t want something that is going to wash product off, onto you- leaving behind a sticky mess. Using Sea Salt Spray (we love Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair Beach Waves) you can easily get that tousled beach mess that we often try quite hard to recreate! It also has a the best smell- eliciting memories of a warm, summer day at the beach which may help cut any overcast gloom.
For all Outer Wear we can’t go without Hunter Boots and Travel Sized Umbrellas! These have both saved me MANY times from ending up soaked walking from Downtown Seattle Nordstrom to my car! Melissa rocked some yesterday for her fun family day at the Pumpkin Patch!
The next product that is a rainy day must is the No Smudge Mascara from Bobbi Brown!
A raincoat for lashes—this long-wearing, waterproof mascara defines, curls, and lengthens lashes without smudging, clumping, or flaking. Wear it alone or layer over any Bobbi Brown mascara formula to make it instantly waterproof.
Mentioned in Instyle Magazine’s “Beauty Pages” (2014).
