Normal Is Boring
When I was growing up my mom would always call us kids “weird” as a term of endearment. While I was a tween I didn’t totally love that all the time. I didn’t want to be “weird”. A kid with lots of energy, lots of big dreams, an adult sense of humor, overly responsible and ya, a little weird. 😉
As I have grown older my childhood friends and I have spilled our truths of “weirdness”. It’s funny how we all hid loving a certain book, show, music group, food, etc. and then as adults we find out that we all loved the same things. I wish we all would have felt that liberation of acceptance and accepting others. I had nice friends! What were we all so scared about? I hope my kids know that they can be who they are and that ya, we are all a little “weird” because weird is boring! 😉
So when I saw this “Normal Is Boring” shirt I knew it had to be mine. Especially paired with a raglan style. It screamed my name!
