How I Shave My Face & Lips | Women Shave Too

Today’s post is about HOW I SHAVE MY FACE! #WomenShaveToo

Now I am NOT saying to just pull out the nearest Venus or Gillette and go to town shaving your face, I use a special facial razor that I get off of Amazon that is very safe and easy to use.

Amazon Facial Razors this is an incredibly affordable 3 pack of Facial Razors for under $5.00! I usually only ever shave my face with this about once a month.

I will go a while not noticing any hair and once I start seeing it just get your handy little razor. I don’t have long dark hair on my face but I do have little peach fuzz that grows especially on the outer sides of my face and upper lip. Never shaved your face before?? Watch my Tutorial where I take you through how I shave my face! You will be surprised on how much hair comes off!

By Doing this once to twice a month I keep my skin soft and smooth and it is great for gently exfoliating the dead dry skin off the face. My favorite thing to do after I shave is to follow with my Skin Care Routine. Check out our post on Winter Skin Care Tutorial on the products we love using in the dry season. Make sure to stay tuned for an upcoming post in our Skin Care Series on the FOREO Facial Cleaning Tool and much more!

I hope you enjoyed this little video and tutorial and thanks for getting in the nitty gritty with me! Don’t judge the amount of hair coming off my face but I really wanted you all to be able to see how easy and simple it is. Just remember please be careful around your eyebrows and if you don’t feel comfortable just go into Nordstrom or a local Salon and get your cheeks, chin, lips, or brows waxed.

Ever wondered what type of skin you have? Melissa just wrote an amazing breakdown of how to determine your skin type. Check it out HERE to know how to control your everyday skincare needs.

XOXO

Thanks for sharing this! It’s so important for people to not generalise or think that only men or women do something! I’ve not heard of shaving before but lots of my friends bleach the hair on their lips!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yeah for me with having such dark hair it’s so easy to get rid of it quickly.

I have been wondering about this forever but was too scared to search for it. I’m so glad you talked about it and made me feel like I’m not a man just because I have some peach fuzz. I’ve already added the razors to my amazon cart! (I couldn’t get to the product via your links, but would love to use them if you make a commission off of it!)

Hi! I am so glad you found this because I was the exact same as you and thought I would be weird if I shaved my face but then I just went for it and love it! Im so sorry the link didn’t work, I just went in and fixed it so it would take you directly to the ones I use. Let us know how you like them!!! XO

Thanks! I am ordering them now! I like to support the people who tell me about stuff so I wanted to make sure that you got the credit for my purchase 🙂

OMG I thought I was the only doing that, I only shave my face when I have an occasion and run out of wax stripes etc. I would love to try the razors you are suggesting and thanks for the tips, there are much needed.

I was wondering if they created special razors for faces! I’ve shaved my upper lip and touched up my eyebrows with a dull razor that I’ve used on my legs, but its a bit tricky! I will have to check these out!

Yeah these make it so much easier!!! Let me know how you like them if you try it out

I’ve been thinking about trying this out to see if my foundation sits nicer, I heard doing this helps!

    • Deüx Bella says

      January 8, 2016 at 8:59 PM

It helps so so much! You see way less texture on the skin!

I’ve been hearing a lot about women shaving their faces, I think it’s so interesting! This is the first time I’ve seen anyone using a eyebrow razor though! How neat! I’ve seen those sold all over as eyebrow razors but I never thought to use it on other facial hair.

    • Deüx Bella says

      January 8, 2016 at 11:45 PM

Yeah it’s so so easy and inexpensive opposed to going and getting facial waxes!

Haha! I’ve been doing this for years and my husband couldn’t believe it when he discovered that I shave my face. 🙂

      January 8, 2016 at 11:44 PM

Haha! My husband was the same when I first told him!!

Do you ever find your skin getting ingrown hairs from using this method? Waxing is so expensive that I’m brainstorming other techniques.

    • Deüx Bella says

      January 9, 2016 at 8:50 PM

I have never had an issue with that at all, and I am someone who is prone to Ingrowns when I shave my bikini so I have to wax that. :/

  9. Chelsie says

    January 10, 2016 at 7:21 PM

YES! This is something that a lot of girls are afraid to talk about, but it’s perfectly normal! I don’t shave my whole face, but I do my upper lip and some parts around my nose and it’s great to smooth everything out for the application of makeup and for exfoliating!

    • Deüx Bella says

      January 17, 2016 at 10:58 PM

Exactly!!! Makes a big difference in foundation application!

Of course! So handy ever since I found them!

New to this idea but love it. Questions if you shave does the hair come back thicker? Can you get razor burn or bumps? Anything else I need to be aware of. Thank you for posting the video.

    • Deüx Bella says

      January 17, 2016 at 11:00 PM

Of course I wanted to make sure to share how I do it in myself. I haven’t had anything negative happen from using these face razors, no bumps, ingrown hair or thicker hair. 🙂

Thanks for being brave enough to share this. I think there are actually a ton of women that do this, but do so in secret. I used to be really embarrassed about my fuzzy lip as a child and would shave it in secret. Then it started growing back thicker/fuller so I stopped. Since then I’ve embraced my fuzz cuz I’m too lazy for the maintenance.

    xoxo,
    Roxy

I have never had any issues with the regrowth being any thicker then the previous month. 🙂

My Mom still believes the “Old Wives Tale” that the hair will come in thicker after you shave it-I’ve told her that even when I was in Cosmetology school they always taught that it isn’t true…but she still won’t use a razor, just in case…ha!
