BEAUTY IN POSITIVITY!!!

Good Morning and Welcome Back!!

As we continue our Exploring Beauty Series, our post today comes to you from someone incredibly near and dear to my heart, my Sweet Mama!

I truly cannot even express into words all the amazing amazing things my mother has done in her life but I can say with absolute certainty that I would not be where I am today, nor the women I am today without her.

Please join me reading her beautiful outlook on Beauty in Positivity .

Being a 52-year-old woman who has learned so many things about herself in the last 10 years, with the most changes taking place in the last two, my definition of beauty is probably much different from most.

My definition of beauty is not an outward manifestation of what you adorn yourself with, but it’s an external demonstration of who you truly are on the inside.

I love to be able to see people who are free to be who they truly are, because in that, they find the greatest joy that they could ever have. And seeing someone enjoying who they are on the inside and being brave enough to show it on the outside, is truly a beautiful thing to behold.

Sadly, it’s not common at all, but to those that have the privilege to watch a soul that brave, they will see that it radiates liberation and joy that’s contagious!

To watch the sacred beauty being expressed by that person, I think, is, and can be, life-changing. So I guess I’m saying that self-expression is my definition of what is beautiful. Whether it’s going on the dance floor by yourself and not being afraid of what people think because all you want to do is express yourself through dance, then dance! And you know what? You will find more people will come out to join in that celebration dance just because you weren’t afraid to look foolish, (even if you think you did!)

And to me, it’s making a positive change in your life or someone else’s life, no matter how small, that is the rarest and most truest definition of beauty there is.

Reading this post has really inspired me to make sure I am always as positive as I can be for myself and for others.
