A week of bliss in baby form. 💕 Brody said it b A week of bliss in baby form. 💕 Brody said it best when he voiced his wish that “she would stay this way for a year so we can get all the snuggles”. Amen brother. Amen. Even with 2 hour feedings this little lady is heavenly in every way.

Sunday’s are a day of rest for all of us, includ Sunday’s are a day of rest for all of us, including Isabelle. Snuggling with us in a puppy pile is her favorite reward and place to be, the more squished the better.😍 Her go-to sleeping position cracks me up. 😂
She’s such a good little lady navigating the ropes between service/therapy dog and family pet. So proud of her.

I totally dog mom failed and missed #nationaldogda I totally dog mom failed and missed #nationaldogday yesterday. Good thing she doesn’t have IG. 😂 She’s the best bedtime snuggler, toddler mess vacuum, puppy-dog eyes giver, and the best “let me see how far out of my spot I can get without actually getting out of my spot” around. We sure love this sweet, silly and smart bundle of unconditional love. ❤️

A few things we can manage for ourselves right now A few things we can manage for ourselves right now...
Our self talk
Our gratitude
Our breathing
What we consume ( news, social media, healthy food)
Our mental + physical health
Our sleep
Our emotions
The way we are spending our time.
We’ve all had to let go of control in some way. The back-to-school year looks totally unconventional at best and totally unknown.
Our lives are all a little sideways right now. But there’s actually so much beauty in the letting go. Releasing what doesn’t serve us, opens room for more beauty to enter in.
I have journaled a few silver linings I’ve found in all of this, I’ll share them here and would love to hear yours. This is the start of a new week. Remember to give yourself the time you need to breathe and connect.
What are the silver linings you have found through this time?
It's been a long while since I've been active here It's been a long while since I've been active here with my account, my blog and my business. 2019 (and really 2018 as well) was a doozy! ⠀
✨⠀
As hard as it was, I am grateful for the opportunity of growth and reflection it created. These trials forced me to shift, analyze, adapt. It pointed me in a new direction and focus for my life and that is what I want to share here. Kind of a journal, kind of an accountability space and hopefully a place others can benefit from things I have learned and/or relate to. I hope to build a community of like-minded mamas on a mission to tackle the various aspects of being present, finding joy, seeking fulfillment. ⠀
✨⠀
I have learned so much over the course of my life, just like you have, and 2019 was a reminder of what truly matters, how to heal, important practices and skills to leave this life having lived the best one possible for YOU. Regardless of what anyone else may think, but seeking your true path and reaching your full potential. That doesn't mean there won't be pain, trials and storms, but we can survive AND thrive despite them. ⠀
✨⠀
I can't wait to share more of my story and hear yours, because we are better together.

“The desire to create is one of the deepest year “The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we. each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before.” ~ Dieter F. Uchtdorf
This is one of my favorite quotes. I grew up painting, playing instruments, scrapbooking, decorating. Basically anything I could do as a creative outlet, I have tried. My career as a makeup artist was another one of these creative outlets.
But when I became a mom all of that creative energy switched to my kids. Which I LOVE. But I was either too exhausted or had to much to do for my own. I felt guilty. I have my kiddos, one of whom has special needs and is medically fragile with daily therapies and dr appointments. I have my foster kiddos, each with their own set of needs, appointments and court dates. All of it seemed way more important than me wasting time and energy on something that was integral.
But after my life came crashing down at the beginning of last year, in every. single. way. I realized I needed to take a break. My life LITERALLY depended on it. Both physically and mentally. 2019 forced me to do that. Getting sick on top of everything else was a good, rude, awakening.
I took a break from every non-essential in my life. I started adding things back into my life that made my life more meaningful. Fed my soul. Establishing a meditation practice, daily gratitude, stopping to play on the floor with my kids, exercise as soon as my health allowed, devouring more books and creating.
Life is short. Create the things. Choose joy. Take care of your mind, body, soul. Keep the legacy you want to leave behind at the front of your mind. In all you do, commit too, prioritize. Focus on what matters because so much of it doesn't. #creativelifehappylife #creativityeveryday #createveryday #creativitymatters #becreative #createsomething #doitfortheprocess #createeveryday
