Happy Cinco De Mayo darlings!
Since Cinco De Mayo landed on a Thursday this year I wanted to share our party with you for inspiration for your own party you may be throwing this weekend!
We were lucky enough to have our party at a darling local candy shop which provided an extra fun and festive spin!
Simple, bright decor is easy to find at any party supply, dollar or online store. It’s also really easy to make your own! Check out our DIY Garland tutorial here.
Cinco De Mayo food:
You can find my slow-cooker chili lime chicken recipe here!
Nothing is easier than a tostada or taco bar! Everyone can make their own and the bright colors of the vegetables and other toppings lend themselves to double duty as decor too!
Carnations, empty cans, confetti and bright ornaments sprinkled around help make this an eclectic, easy and low cost party!
We used a stained wood and paint I had from our home building to make drink tags and a sign for the bar cart.
There is never a bad reason to enjoy yummy Mexican food! I’m pretty sure I could eat it every day!
My toddlers godfather is Mexican American so we had to sneak in a FaceTime session with him to of course!
All together this party cost less than $100 to put together and it was a hit. I like to find pieces that I can use for multiple themes and bright color items are great for the upcoming summer, pool and birthday parties! Any reason to have a party!
And of course as always we have got some fun taco inspired invites and labels! Scroll to the bottom for those!
Do you celebrate Cinco De Mayo in your household? What are your favorite fiesta foods?
